What we can confirm
Code F33, from the manufacturer's own documentation
A code is only meaningful together with the machine showing it — the same digits mean different things on different equipment.
The code
F33
These two exist only on induction, and they belong to the front burners. Induction heats the pan rather than the glass, so each zone needs its own sensor underneath to know how hot things are getting and to protect the coil and the electronics above it. Without that reading the zone shuts down. A single zone failing is the better version of this — a board problem generally takes more than one at a time.

What else belongs to the cooktops
On this make a code belongs to the appliance rather than to a product line. These are the other conditions this machine can display, and the models that can show this one — a display often has more than one thing to say, and the model number decides what any of it costs to put right.
Other codes this appliance can display
The touch controls are reporting a key that is stuck or wet
Not an error — the glass is above 150°F and the cooktop is saying so
The supply to the appliance was cut while it was working

About Cooktop error code F33
What F33 means on this make
These two exist only on induction, and they belong to the front burners. Induction heats the pan rather than the glass, so each zone needs its own sensor underneath to know how hot things are getting and to protect the coil and the electronics above it. The other ways LG prints this one
F33 · F34
LG publishes a condition and then every string that can stand for it, and which one your machine shows depends on the panel it was built with — OE, E03 and E21 are one condition on a washer, and Er dS, F dS and r dS are one sensor on different evaporators. They are one page here, so whichever of them you searched for, this is the right page.
Where this appears, and why not to clear it
On the appliance's own display. LG reports errors two ways: machines with a digital display show a code, and the laundry machines without one blink their indicator lights instead. Both are published by the maker and both are on this site. Photograph what the panel shows before cutting the power. On a refrigerator you can also force the last code back onto the display by holding Freezer Temperature and Express Frz together for three seconds — LG documents that, and it is the one thing that makes a first visit more useful. A code that has been reset is information a technician no longer has.
What to do about it
- Note which zone stops. One zone is a different repair from all of them.
- Check nothing is blocking the vents underneath the cooktop, in the cabinet below.
- Turn the breaker off for thirty seconds.
- Book it. The sensors sit under the glass and the top has to come up.
Where this goes next
The job this usually becomes is diagnostic visit, and that page carries a starting figure and the reasons that move it. If it turns out to be nothing — and on this make a real share of these are modes, reminders and settings rather than problems — the visit ends there and you pay the diagnostic and nothing else, or call (305) 419-0291 and describe what the panel is doing before booking anything.
