UE that will not clear on a fair load, a machine that walks, or a spin that never reaches speed. Dampers, suspension, leveling and the vibration sensor between them account for all of it, and the diagnosis decides which — which is why the band is wide.

How this visit actually goes

The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.

  1. 01

    Level it first

All four feet down, no rock, on a floor that does not flex. Free, and it fixes a real share of these.

  2. 02

    Test with a known load

Three towels, spread evenly. A machine that spins that is a machine with a balance problem rather than a mechanical one.

  3. 03

    Check the dampers and suspension

They soften with age and a machine that has been moved house is the classic candidate.

  4. 04

    Test the vibration sensor

vS or uS. A machine that will not authorize a high spin holds itself slow.

  5. 05

    Verify at full speed

With a real load, watching the machine rather than listening from the hall.

    LG washer repair in Miami

The laundry side of this badge is the busiest on the site, and LG sells more shapes of it than anyone: front load, top load with no agitator, the WashTower with both machines behind one control panel, the all-in-one WashCombo that washes and dries in one drum, and the SideKick pedestal washer that lives under the main machine. Two hundred and twenty-two laundry machines in the catalog between washers and dryers. LG publishes a separate code list for each shape, and the codes do not all mean the same thing across them.

    • Front load, top load, WashTower, WashCombo and the SideKick pedestal
    • Around twenty published codes, and a blinking-light set for machines with no display
    • Direct Drive motors: fewer parts to fail, and a different failure when they do

About LG washer spin and balance repair

Shipping bolts, a level, and one heavy towel

Three things get checked before any part is discussed. Whether the shipping bolts came out of the back when the machine was delivered, because a washer still bolted will shake a room and it is not rare. Whether it is level front to back and side to side on all four feet with the lock nuts tight against the body, which a phone app is accurate enough to tell you. And what was in the drum, because a single soaked bath towel or a mattress protector holding a balloon of water defeats any balancing system, and this one tries three times to redistribute before it gives up and shows UE.

Questions about LG washer spin and balance repair

It only shakes on towels and jeans.

Then it is doing what it should and the load is the problem. Wash heavy items with a couple of lighter ones for company and see whether it settles before you spend anything.

The machine has walked across the floor twice.

Stop using it until it has been looked at. A washer that walks is either unlevel or running on tired dampers, and the hoses behind it are what pays for that eventually.
