These two get confused constantly on the phone and the difference decides what we bring. A WashTower is one column with a single control panel in the middle and two separate machines behind it, washer below and dryer above. A WashCombo is one drum that washes and then dries the same load with a heat pump, no vent, and a cycle that legitimately runs for hours rather than an hour. Owners of the second often call because it is slow, and slow is how it works. Read the badge, then tell us whether the washing half, the drying half or the panel itself has stopped.

### My combo takes four hours for a load. Is something wrong?

Probably not. A ventless drum has to condense all the water out of the load instead of blowing it outside, and a full mixed load genuinely takes that long. Noticeably longer than it was six months ago is the sentence that matters, and that is the lint path and the condenser rather than an error.
