# LG dryer moisture sensor service cost

### Why this figure is a from

The cheapest laundry row on the site, because most of these are cleaning rather than a part. Two strips inside the drum front, filmed over by fabric softener, and a cotton pad fixes what looks like an electronic failure.

### What puts your job at the bottom or the top of it

At the bottom: one appliance, a code or a light pattern already written down, easy access, and a cause that turns out to be a setting, a filter or something cleared rather than replaced. At the top: a machine built into joinery, a part that has to be ordered rather than picked up, and a second problem found alongside the first. We say which of those you are in before the work starts, not after.

What moves this figure

from $115, and what changes it

Confirmed on site, agreed in writing

Nothing is opened or ordered before you have said yes

Cleaning or replacing

Cleaning first, and it usually ends there.

Whether the wiring has vibrated loose

A connector behind the strips gives the same reading.

Liquid softener and dryer sheets are what film these, and saying so is part of the job.

### Why is it a from and not a price?

Because the same job is not the same work on two machines. The part, the access and what the appliance turns out to have done to itself all move it, and quoting a number before measuring is guessing with extra confidence. The figure is confirmed on site and agreed in writing before anything is opened — BRAND-RULES is explicit about it and so are we.

### Is the diagnostic charged on top?

It pays for the diagnosis, which is real work. If you go ahead with the repair it comes off the bill, so you pay it once either way.
