## LG repair in Miami, on the widest range of appliances any make in this city sells.

Twelve kinds of appliance, from a French door refrigerator whose panel lights when you knock on it to a dryer with no duct at all. LG tells you more about what has gone wrong than almost any make we work on — a published code for five of its families, a blinking-light pattern on the laundry machines with no display, and a refrigerator that will hand back its last code if you hold two buttons — and reading that properly is the first thing we do, before anything is opened.

12 — appliance types we cover on this make

46 — jobs with a published figure

60 — error codes the maker publishes

from $95 — diagnostic, credited to the repair

## What we repair

12 appliance types, and each card says what the work on that one actually involves — including the three where the maker publishes nothing at all about failures.

## The climate is part of the diagnosis.

The dryer measures the duct, and here it starts high

Storm season, and the code that is not a repair

Humidity against a cabinet that never stops

A drain asked to do more

Salt on a coil, a few blocks in

## 60 error codes, and 10 things the lights say instead

Every code LG publishes for its US appliances, with every spelling it prints for each one, plus the blinking-light patterns for the laundry machines that have no display. Nothing here is invented, and where the maker publishes nothing there are no pages.

Photograph the display before cutting the power. A code that has been reset is information a technician no longer has, and on a machine that blinks rather than counts, the pattern is the whole diagnosis.

## Measured, priced, then agreed — in that order

You tell us what it is showing

We measure rather than eliminate

You get the price before anything is opened

And sometimes we tell you not to

## Every figure is a floor, and every floor has a page

46 jobs with a published starting figure and a page saying what moves it. LG's volume is the biggest single reason these numbers sit where they do — a drain pump, an inlet valve or a bake element for one is stocked at every supply house in Miami-Dade rather than ordered from anywhere.

Every figure here is a starting point and a researched market band for South Florida, never a quote and never an invoice. The exact cost is confirmed after an on-site diagnostic and agreed in writing before anything is opened.

Diagnostic visit — One visit, one answer in writing, and the fee comes off the work. On this make it starts with what the appliance is already telling you — a code, a blinking-light combination, or a Family Hub self check.

Dryer vent cleaning — The cheapest job on the site and the one that resolves the most complaints. The whole duct run, the outside flap checked while it is going, and airflow measured before and after.

Ice maker repair — The most common repair on this badge. Five cabinet layouts, five different mechanisms and no error codes published for any of them, so the diagnosis is most of the job.

Refrigerator not cooling — After the free check, which is a mode that lights the whole panel and deliberately does not cool. We ask about it on the phone before booking anything.

Induction cooktop repair — The most expensive cooking job here, and the one where the free answer comes first: the underlined u is the pan rather than the appliance, nine times in ten.

Sealed system repair — The highest figure on the site, never diagnosed by elimination, and the one where we will say honestly when replacing the cabinet is the better arithmetic.

## Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, end to end

59 cities and neighborhoods, each with a page saying what we actually see there. Tell us where you are when you book and we will come back with the earliest slot we can genuinely keep.

Coverage is the whole of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach — the pages below are the places people search for by name, not the edge of where we drive.

## The model number, and what the panel is doing.

A photograph of the display is ideal. If the machine has no display, tell us exactly which lights are blinking — on those models that is the whole diagnosis, and it is gone once the power is cut. You get the scope and the price in writing before anything is opened.

## The questions we are asked most

My refrigerator is lit up and it is not cold. — Check for Cooling Off mode before anything else, because it costs nothing. The display shows OF OF, O FF, or temperature bars scrolling across it, and the cabinet is deliberately not cooling — it is the mode a showroom floor model runs in, and it gets switched on at home by accident. Holding the top two buttons on the left of the panel for five to eight seconds, until you hear a chime that sounds different from a single press, clears it. We have driven to houses where that was the whole visit.

The lights are blinking and there is no code. What is that? — It is a code. LG laundry machines without a numeric display report by blinking their indicator lights, and the maker publishes what those patterns mean for washers and for dryers. Count a full sequence and photograph the panel before you switch anything off, because that is the entire diagnosis on those models and it disappears with the power. One caution that saves service calls: the same lights also blink to show cycle status, so treat it as an error only if the machine is misbehaving as well.

The ice maker keeps freezing into a block. — It is the most common complaint on this make and it almost always has a cause upstream: the compartment is not staying cold enough, or warm moist air is reaching it — which in this climate usually means a seal. Clearing the ice buys a few weeks; finding what let the moisture in is the repair. LG does publish codes here — IF for the ice compartment fan, IS for its sensor, It for the harvest motor — and the fill tube that freezes at the mouth has no code at all, so telling us the model number and what the panel says both matter.

My oven does everything except get hot. — Look at the display for tESt or tE5t. That is demo mode: the range responds to everything and heats nothing, and on gas models the cooktop still lights, which makes it more convincing still. It is switched off through a procedure specific to your model. If it is not that, the split between bake, broil and convection tells us which element — and on a Flex Duo range, one dead cavity is usually the partition rather than anything electrical. There are 20 symptom pages here that start from what the appliance is doing rather than from a code.

Is it worth repairing, or should I replace it? — It depends on the appliance far more than on its age. A countertop microwave that will not heat usually is not worth it and we will say so on the phone. A refrigerator, a range, a washer or a heat pump dryer almost always is, because LG is one of the two highest-volume makes we work on and the parts are stocked here rather than ordered. On refrigeration there is a second thing worth checking first: LG's compressor warranty follows the machine rather than the owner, and a covered cabinet is a very different number. What we will not do is give you that answer without measuring.

Are you connected to LG? — No. We are an independent repair company working in Miami, not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by any manufacturer, and we warrant our own workmanship. What we have is 70 code and signal pages, every one of them read out of LG's own US help library, and 20 symptom pages — including two appliances where the maker publishes nothing at all.
